Applying for Contingent Leader Position

Contingent Leaders play an important part in offering youth members a perspective changing and life altering experience. Any leader of Scouts Australia can apply for the position of Contingent Leader. All applicants must be endorsed by their Branch.

A leader that is wishing to apply for the position of Contingent Leader is required to provide an application in writing to the International Commissioner of Australia. 

 As a guide to assist you in applying, we have created a generic version of the Contingent Leader application packageThis details the selection criteria likely to be used in an application and gives you an idea of the duties of a Contingent Leader. Also included in the generic application package is tips on how to answer selection criteria. Once your application package is complete and signed (by your Chief Commissioner), please send it to the International Commissioner.

14th New Zealand Venture

The Australian Contingent to the 14th New Zealand Venture to be held in the summer of 2019 is seeking a team of talented, dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to plan and execute the Australian Contingent's adventure, including pre and post tours.

The 14th New Zealand Venture is a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the northern most part of New Zealand. It will start in Auckland and culminate at a secret location in Northland NZ.

Venturers from all over Australia, New Zealand, the Asia-Pacific and further afield will share a unique experience of exploration, culture and friendship. Held only every three years, the 14th New Zealand Venture expects to bring together 1,000 teens in the adventure capital of the world, to have "The time of their life".

There are currently roles available for Assistant Contingent Leader, Deputy Contingent Leader, Program Manger, Finance Manager, Marketing & Communications Manager and Administration Manager.

NZ National Sea Scout Regatta December 2017

Scouts Australia will be sending a Contingent to compete at the New Zealand National Sea Scout Regatta in December 2017.
